The low tip was a shame, especially since the normal low tip in the Below Deck franchise is at least $15,000. Your tip will die lowest tip in yacht franchise history.

Erica and Charles explained the tip amount as they passed Another Below Deck Podcast, say the rest of the group didn’t contribute to the tip.

“The entire group is responsible for tipping,” Erica explained. “We all tip for ourselves. We dumped all the cash we brought with us. My mother gave a tip. Some other people in our group didn’t feel like it.

Charles backed his wife’s claims, stating that Cindi Rose was the only one other than them who campaigned for the tip.

“We had to save the flack for everyone else because no one else was tipping. Most of the time nobody but me, Cindi and Erica felt like it,” he spilled.

Erica also admitted to being frustrated after leaving a $23,000 tip at the end of her appearance on Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 2, just to tease the crew about her group.

The $6,500 tip was a hot topic on social media, particularly on Erica’s Instagram posts. In a post, a user Erica said the tip was a slap in the face for how the crew was treated.

Responding to the comment, Erica again explained that not everyone in her group contributed to the tip.

“I’m sorry you feel this way. I wish others in our charter group had contributed more as well. We can only move forward,” she wrote.
