Eric Musselman angrily celebrated Arkansas by removing his shirt

There will be a new national champion in the world of men’s college basketball. The Kansas Jayhawks faced the Arkansas Razorbacks in the round of 16 in the West Region Saturday night, and despite being as much as 12 points behind in the second half, Eric Musselman’s side defeated the defending champion 72-71.

It was a gutsy performance by the Razorbacks as the backcourt duo ofudaste Davis and Ricky Council IV scored a combined 46 points and Council came up off the line on the stretch when he hit five free throws on ice with 30 seconds left to things. The win makes it three years in a row that Arkansas has made at least the Sweet 16 under Musselman, and since the team is made up of 8 seeds, this is the lowest seed of the group.

Musselman was unsurprisingly cheered by the win, which he took to another level by sprinting over to the Razorback loyalists, ripping off his shirt, waving it over his head and leading them in a quick “Woo Pig Sooie.”

The NCAA tournament is doing some pretty incredible things to people. Musselman and the rest of the Razorbacks will have to wait until tomorrow to see who they’ll play against as the team will go up against the winner of the 4-5 matchup between UConn and Saint Mary’s.
