Electronic Arts Releases Message in Support of Women’s and Transgender Rights

Electronic Arts unveils a message to all staff and players supporting human rights for all.

Electronic Arts cemented its support for women’s and transgender rights by releasing a statement on equality. The company’s message expresses its united front for all gamers and their employees, including the LGBTQ+ community. In addition, the company wants to continue its commitment to a safe and supportive workplace.

To celebrate Pride Month, EA held conversations with members of the LGBTQ+ community to get feedback and share personal stories. The company has supported organizations that uphold human rights, such as the Human Rights Campaign and GLAAD, for the past two decades. It will also donate money to these entities and host a discussion with Lambda Legal CEO Kevin Jennings in honor of Pride.

Electronic Arts’ Pride Employee Resource Group ensures that the voices of all employees are seen and heard. They have initiated TeaTalks, Pride Hangouts and many other events to encourage open communication and humility.

The company is asking everyone to join their Pride Month 2022 program to stand up for human rights for all and celebrate together. Big titles like The Sims, Mass Effect, and Apex Legends feature members of the LGBTQ+ community. They will continue to release games that reflect diversity and equality through stories and characters.
