DWI crash in St. Peter kills one, injures two

ST. PETERS, Mo. – One person was killed and two others injured when a drunk-driving woman crashed in St. Peters.
According to a court document, the crash occurred on April 25, 2022 on Veterans Memorial Parkway just east of Spencer Loop South.
Madeline Christian was driving a 2014 Jeep Compass in the area “when her vehicle began drifting across the centerline into oncoming traffic,” according to the court document. She was then driving her Jeep in the westbound lanes and collided with a vehicle. One person in the other vehicle was killed, one person was seriously injured and another slightly injured.
The investigation revealed that Christian was driving 56 mph in a 45 mph zone. The car she collided with was traveling 20 mph in the same 45 mph zone.
At the time of the accident, Christian had a blood alcohol content of 0.222%.
She was charged with DWI causing the death of another, DWI causing serious physical injury to another, driving with a suspended driver’s license, unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
