Drop in Temperature and Humidity – Boston News, Weather, Sports

A scorching Sunday ended with scattered storms across southern New England. These storms were along and ahead of a cold front that slipped through overnight, causing the drop in humidity and temperatures that we have this morning. Today’s highs will be a good 20-25 degrees cooler than the upper 80’s to mid 90’s that baked the area yesterday.
Clouds are fairly widespread this morning but thinning as the day progresses allowing for more sunshine this afternoon as temperatures drop to the mid to high 60s with onshore breezes on the coast and low to mid inland in the mid to late afternoon 70s lie.

We’ll take another step down tomorrow to account for the coolest day of the workweek, with highs of 65-70 inland and close to 60 on the coast.

The next few days will also be dry, so the lawns and gardens that need water will be borne by you, not Ma Nature.

The best chance for scattered showers is Thursday evening, followed by isolated storms on Friday. Memorial Day weekend is looking a lot better than last year right now as highs are likely to be in the 70’s and 80’s with plenty of dry hours.
