Drake’s “Search & Rescue” hits #1 on Spotify

Drake’s latest single “Search & Rescue” is dominating the streaming charts, particularly on Spotify. On the track, co-produced by longtime collaborator Noah “40” Shebib and Lil Yachty, the certified lover shows he can also make a splash independently. This influence is evident in the charts.

Accordingly Pop Crave, “Search & Rescue” debuted at #1 on US Spotify. The song reportedly earned over 2.43 million streams. The platform also revealed that the song has also found a home on the streaming giant’s global charts, opening at number 4 with 4.63 million plays.

Rounding out the top five spots are Morgan Wallen’s “Last Night” at #2, SZA’s “Kill Bill” at #3, “Boy’s A Liar Pt. 2” by PinkPantheress with Ice Spice at number 4 and “Ella Baila Sola” by Eslabon Armado with Peso Pluma.

When “Search & Rescue” was released, fans hailed the rapper for reverting to his “Sassy Drake” persona, as the track features samples of his longtime enemy Ye’s ex-wife, Kim Kardashian. In the clip, Kardashian discusses her and Kanye West’s divorce.

Though Drake’s father insists that “it’s just a song” and not a direct diss on the Yeezy designer, fans find that hard to believe.
