DoorDash customer climbs out window for delivery

Some people prefer to have their food deliveries handed over. Others like to leave them at the door. A DoorDash customer has caught the internet’s attention for his unconventional delivery preference: climbing out the window to meet the driver at his car.

TikTok user and DoorDash driver @jonathaneljay87 posted his strange interaction with the customer on February 1st. As of February 2, the video has been viewed over 1.5 million times.

In the video, a woman in a black tank top and denim shorts climbed out her window to meet @jonathaneljay87 at his car. The TikToker jokingly told viewers in a text overlay that the experience made him question working as a DoorDash driver.

“My first day at DoorDash that made me think about quitting,” he wrote.

In the comments section, viewers got ideas as to why the customer decided to slip out the window to collect her order.

“She didn’t want to share with anyone at the front door,” one user suggested.

“POV: You’re renting a room and don’t want the owner to see you’re buying food if you’re behind on the rent,” suggested a second.

“When you told the kids there was food at home but you didn’t want food from home,” joked another.

Other viewers shared that they found the video quite scary at first.

“Lmaooo I thought it was a snake at first and then its head slowly came out I almost threw my phone,” commented one viewer. “And then her little run lmaooooo loves her.”

“If it was night I would have left asap, that was a scary movie moment no thanks,” wrote another.
