Doorbell camera footage captures an Amazon delivery man swearing

Smart doorbell camera footage of an Amazon driver swearing at a delivery resonates with other people who “feel this every day of my life at work.”

TikToker @whatokwhynot uploaded the footage on June 10th. In the clip, captured by a Ring doorbell camera, the driver can be seen carrying three large boxes and saying, “Fuck, fuck it. I hate this so much.” He then looks into the camera and says, “Please don’t make this viral online.”

The TikToker captioned the post, which had over 2.2 million views as of Thursday, “Rather than go #viral how about we give this man the raise he deserves!” The TikToker also tagged Amazon.

In the comments, some people have criticized the TikToker for uploading the clip and not blurring the driver’s face. “He had ONE request! why are you doing it like that lol.”

“I love my Amazon drivers. You deserve really good pay,” commented another user.

Others said they felt the same about the work. “Me every day at work… In my head.”

Some who got involved work specifically at Amazon. “I work at Amazon, not as a driver, but I can tell so much. There are days when I hate it so much.”

Some commentators were also delivery drivers. “If you all knew how stressful this job is. We do what we have to do for work, but it’s not always what we want to do.”

According to Amazon’s website, an Amazon Flex driver is most likely making around $18 to $25 an hour, depending on location, tip, and how long it takes to complete your deliveries. In a Flex driver’s me article: “After deducting gas costs; parking/toll; smartphone data usage; and wear and tear of your car the pay seems to be a little more than minimum wage. The job can also get stressful when dealing with apartment buildings, app bugs, or other issues.”
