Dollar General wrapping paper Misprint to read “Sh*t”.

A woman went viral on TikTok after revealing a misprinted roll of wrapping paper she bought from Dollar General, which resulted in half of the roll repeatedly saying “shit.”

The video was uploaded by user Jenny Schmick (@yennybees) unrolling the wrapping paper to reveal the mistake.

“So, I wrap presents, right? And that’s how it starts,” she explains, showing the fading colors of the paper on which “Merry Christmas” is written at first. Schmick then turned it all over, the paper was colorless save for the repetition of three green letters that could be interpreted as obscenity: “SHT”.

In the caption, Schmick noted that she plans to continue using the wrapping paper. “Thanks for the laugh @dolllargegeneral. I still use it,” she wrote.

The Daily Dot contacted Schmick via TikTok comment and Dollar General via press email regarding this incident. Schmick’s video has amassed over 6.3 million views since it was posted on December 23, where it made viewers laugh.

“I’m actually spitting out my water laughing,” wrote one viewer.

“This is hilarious, I would love that,” said a second.

“hahahahaha love this,” commented a third

Others praised the gift wrap’s funny typographical error.

“You’ve landed the lottery! I call it a win!” said one.

“Oh SHT, that’s great. I would use it like that,” agreed a second.

“Use it and if you don’t want it, give it to me. I will use it,” wrote a third.

Some commentators even offered suggestions for Schmick to use the paper.

“Use it for family members you don’t like but give gifts to anyway,” one person said.

“Save it for someone you don’t particularly like,” suggested a second.

“That’s the part you use for co-workers, duh,” commented a third.

In a short follow-up video, Schmick revealed what she did with the wrapping paper. She still used it to wrap presents, but with a little more humor. The TikToker filled the space between the “H” and “T” with hand-drawn holiday symbols, including candy canes, snowmen, and an “i” decorated with a Santa hat.

“My 15-year-old will appreciate the effort,” she added in the comments.
