(CNN) — As part of the special main review of the Mar-a-Lago search, the Justice Department filed a slightly revised inventory of materials seized in the search, along with an FBI affidavit showing that the new inventory fully reflects it , what was taken.
The special master, Judge Raymond Dearie, had asked the Justice Department to issue an affidavit explaining whether the inventory contained a “complete and accurate” picture of the search — a request made after former President Donald Trump claimed without evidencethat the FBI may have planted items during this time.
“I am not aware of any documents or materials seized from the premises by the FBI that day that are not included in the revised Detailed Property Record,” an FBI agent whose identity has been redacted wrote in the new affidavit, “except Materials not provided to the case team by the Privilege Review Team.”
According to the FBI, the agency had just a single business day to compile the first version of the inventory, which was filed a few weeks ago, but has since had more time to review and catalog the list. The filing also noted that a review team filtered out potentially privileged material found and held at Mar-a-Lago after the seizure.
The agent said the revisions to the new list were “minor”.
According to CNN’s comparison of the two versions, the new version showed the same total number of documents marked as classified as compiled in the previously submitted inventory. The new version shows two fewer press clippings and two fewer blank envelopes with classified banners than the previous count. The revised inventory also reveals a few dozen other government records without classified markings, out of the thousands the FBI says it recovered from the search.
Trump on Friday is approaching a deadline to the specific principal descriptions of any confiscated items that he claims were missing from the inventory or items that were in the inventory that he says were not on the premises.
