GREEN BAY, WI (WDJT) – A dog was found abandoned and tied to a fire hydrant in Green Bay, prompting the Wisconsin Humane Society to remind everyone that they will never turn down an animal in need.
A post from WHS said the dog had a note with him explaining that the owners could no longer care for him.
The dog, named “Baby Girl,” was left with a bag full of dog food, treats and toys.
Baby Girl is now being cared for at WHS and is doing “great”.
The WHS Facebook post says in part:
“While we will never allow fee to be an obstacle and we welcome anonymous surrenders, we see that you did what you thought was best for your beloved pup and we appreciate your compassion. Rest assured that she is safe, she is receiving plenty of attention from our team and is on her way to finding her next loving family very soon. We wish you all the best and hope that by the time you see this you can rest a little better, knowing that there is a bright future ahead for your baby girl.
