Depop seller describes the stress of modeling clothes in Viral TikTok

That is the reality of resellers.

The perfect body in the photos is for sale while any flaws can mean a hard time finding a buyer.

In a video posted this month on Tiktok by @Bucktooth_HQ, one woman says it can not only make or break a bank account, but the spirit as well.

Bucktooth, a second-hand vendor, offers its products on Depop, a London-based online marketplace where people can buy or sell fashion.

@Shop_Bucktooth shares the story of a blue velvet dress that no one seems to want and why she thinks it’s hard to sell.

“Having a body on Depop is really exhausting and this comes from a size 8,” she says in the video.

The creator says the product posted is a photo someone else has taken, “Instead of me taking a selfie so I have a chance to turn my body into the most perfect hourglass figure I can possibly have” .

“No attention didn’t sell,” she added.

Moments later, she shared refreshed photos of herself in the same dress with different poses using the self-timer.

“It got a lot of likes and sold pretty quickly,” she said.

She went on to add that maybe it was a different setting or circumstances but this happens over and over again. If her body doesn’t look perfect in the clothing item, people don’t want it for themselves.

“I’m just tired,” she added.

“The worst thing is when someone asks me to model something because I know the moment I do it, they lose interest,” one woman wrote in the comments, liked by the creator.

Another commented, “It’s true, even if we don’t think about it, the way models look really affects us when we shop at regular stores.”

Others were quick to point out the quality of both photos.

“I feel you look the same in both photos but you can see the dress more in the second photo,” one girl wrote.

“While I completely agree [with] what you are saying is there is a huge difference in quality + light in those two sets,” another added.

Still, the video, captioned “When your financial success is directly dependent on your body shape,” seems to offer good points in the resale and retail space that are entirely relevant. regarding.

“100% real, my friend and this girl have the same supplier and list the same clothes,” another commenter shared. “The other girl had a “pretty good” body and she sold it.”
