Delivery driver asks DoorDash customers to never order Popeyes

A delivery driver on TikTok is urging DoorDash and Uber Eats customers not to order Popeye’s through the platforms.

The TikToker, Joe Schroeder (@joeschroeder83), posted his PSA on the platform, claiming the fried chicken chain is notoriously difficult to navigate.

In his experience, Schroeder says he’s often encountered item availability issues when he’s had to pick up a Popeyes order, and that the customer service he receives from the staff leaves a lot to be desired.

He adds that even increasing the tip for picking up a Popeyes order wouldn’t give him much of an incentive to pick up food there. In short, the man really, really, really hates getting food from there.

“Just a little PSA for those of you ordering GrubHub, DoorDash… whichever grocery platform you choose to ship from: Please stop ordering from Popeyes,” Schroeder says. “I don’t care how much you tip, I don’t take that shit.”

Joe then explains why he’s so reluctant to take orders from the chain. “They always run out of food. You are always out of something. They always ignore you,” he begins. “The service is terrible, I don’t care if you tip me $20 and I just walk around the block. It doesn’t even bother me. So please, I’m telling you, I’m begging you, I’m begging you, please stop ordering from Popeyes. Because most of us don’t pick up that shit.”

The Daily Dot has contacted Schroeder via TikTok comment and Popeyes via email for more information.

Judging by the responses in the comments section of Joe’s video, it appears there are several Popeyes customers who have had similarly frustrating experiences.

“Popeyes service is consistently terrible lol but they do have good chicken,” wrote one commenter. Another quipped: “It’s about time someone said it.”

Another delivery driver claimed, “I ALWAYS REFUSE ALL orders from Popeye in a split second!!!!”

A TikToker’s dislike of Popeye’s customer service appears to be a family affair. “My daughter doesn’t even go to a Popeyes, she said the workers were rude. She’s right, but I still go in, I adjust energy,” they wrote.

Of course, individual franchises are run by different people with different teams and different work processes. However, other commenters vowed this happened to them at multiple Popeyes locations. “Amen brother! “Location by me 100% doesn’t even start ordering until you tell them you’re there and then it’s another 10 minutes,” said one.
