David Seaman supports Mikel Arteta despite Arsenal’s top-four shot | Soccer

David Seaman says Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is still “the right man” for the job despite the Gunners’ poor end to the season.
This result means Tottenham go into the final day of the Premier League season in fourth place, leading the Gunners by two points.
Spurs will secure Champions League football for next season unless they suffer a surprise defeat to relegated Norwich City on Sunday and Arsenal beat Everton.
Although the Gunners under Arteta will miss the top four for the third straight season, Seaman is backing the Spaniard.
“I still feel like Arteta is the right man,” said the Arsenal legend, who has an informal coaching role at his former club Sailor Says Podcast.
“I see what he does in training, his coaching methods and the intensity, passion and quality he has. The demands he places on the players are very high and for me the team is getting better and better.
“You have to be in the top five again [by Christmas next season]they have to go for the champions league.
“It will be difficult for them to challenge for the Premier League because of the gap with Liverpool and Man City.
“They have to be challenging when they aren’t, no matter who the manager is at Arsenal, questions would be asked.
“You have to be able to stand up for Europe. Europe should be the main goal at least every season. If we’re not in the top five, there will be a lot of questions.”
