Dartmouth Police ask public for help to find man who injured Cumberland Farms employee in robbery – Boston News, Weather, Sports

DARTMOUTH, MASS. (WHDH) – Dartmouth Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a man who injured a Cumberland Farms employee while robbing the store.

At 1:59 a.m. Thursday, officers responded to a report of an unarmed robbery at Cumberland Farms at 540 Dartmouth Street.

The clerk told officers the suspect reached over the counter and stole money from the register. The suspect then fled the store with the money and was last seen running toward New Bedford.

The clerk described the suspect as a black man in his 30s or 40s with a thin build, wearing black jeans, a white t-shirt and a black hat.

Officials said the clerk who tried to stop the man reaching into the register was taken to hospital, where he was treated for a hand injury.

Dartmouth Police investigators are currently reviewing video of the incident.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact the Dartmouth Police Department Investigations Unit at 508-910-1775.
