DA: Suspect arrested in deadly shooting at Holyoke Mall – Boston News, Weather, Sports

The Holyoke Police Department and the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit, which are attached to the Hampden County District Attorney’s Office, are currently investigating murder resulting from a shooting that occurred at Holyoke Mall tonight.

Members of the Holyoke Police Department reported to the mall around 7:00 p.m. to report gunfire. Upon arrival, a male victim was discovered at the scene and a suspect was immediately taken into custody.

The incident, which resulted in one fatality, occurred between two known parties. The victim was an innocent spectator of a confrontation between two other people. There is no ongoing public safety threat related to this incident.

This is an active homicide investigation currently being conducted by the Holyoke Police Department and the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit attached to the Hampden District Attorney’s Office.
