TikToker Kymberly Fletes (@kymberlyfletes) thinks she just made a discovery about the size of Denny’s milkshakes and shares her findings in a now-viral video.
In a clip that has garnered over 411,000 views, she demonstrates that the kid-sized milkshake is identical to the regular-sized milkshake by pouring the regular-sized drink into the plastic kid-sized cup.
“Don’t let Denny’s refine you. Instead of ordering a regular shake, order a kid’s shake because that’s the way it is,” she says. “Same size.”
The caption reads, “IVE BEEN FINESSED.”

The controversy surrounding the “equality” of drink sizes in food franchises has become a sore topic among customers in recent years. A viral video in which a McDonald’s employee claimed all cup sizes were the same using a simple optical illusion has convinced scores of people that the burger chain is charging them for no reason. It has been debunked, but some people still argue that the sizes are all the same.
Several commenters pushed back on Fletes’ observation, asking if Denny’s still puts out the extra milkshake in a “metal cup” when you order a regular one.
One user wrote: “Every time I get a shake they always end up giving me the extra that didn’t fit in the cup lol.”
“You don’t bring out the rest in the metal cup anymore?” asked another.
The Daily Dot contacted Fletes via TikTok comment and Denny’s via email.
