A TikToker pokes fun at his Olive Garden experience after accidentally playing games on the restaurant’s tablet device, not realizing he’s being charged for it.
In a video recently posted on TikTok and viewed more than 470,000 times, user Latrell (@goodbuss) shares his first experience with Olive Garden’s digital kiosk.
“Accidentally bought table games in the garden because I’ve never seen this device,” Latrell wrote in the text overlay, jokingly pointing to the restaurant’s name.
“I didn’t get a single correct answer playing two trivia games,” reads the caption.

In the video, Latrell shows himself in the restaurant scrolling through the different games and clicking on his bill, where he was charged $2.99 for “table games.”
This isn’t the first time a customer has been taken by surprise when purchasing tablet games. According to NBC5 Chicago, some parents who have eaten at chain restaurants like Olive Garden have found their children buying games without their knowledge.
Around 2015, Olive Garden began rolling out tablets in its restaurants that “act as server assistants.” Los Angeles Times reported. The touchscreen tablets allow customers to browse the restaurant’s menu, order food, pay for their meal and play games. Olive Garden did not respond to The Daily Dot’s request for comment.
Commenters on Latrell’s video also appeared to have felt betrayed after being accused of playing tablet games.
“I did this once because I thought it was free and my parents were so confused when it said on the bill,” said one commenter.
“I accidentally did that once on a date,” said another commenter. “We ended up just playing games all night so it wouldn’t be a waste.”
The Daily Dot reached out to Latrell via TikTok comment and Instagram direct message.
