Max Turner (Paddy Bever) ended up in hospital on Coronation Street tonight after getting his leg caught on glass.

During the Wednesday edition of the ITV soap, Amy (Elle Mulvaney) finally discovered that Max was responsible for spiking her drink a few weeks ago.

After being released on bail, Max hurt David (Jack P. Shepherd) and Sarah (Tina O’Brien) while talking to Adam (Sam Robertson).

Frustrated by how smug Max was, Adam pointed out that Amy’s world was turned upside down as a result of his actions.

With his phone already confiscated by David, Max felt lonely and planned to run away.

Later, Max broke into the barbers, brick in hand, to grab his cell phone.

But when he got out, Max was pinched with his leg, causing him to bleed profusely.

Luckily, Jacob (Jack James Ryan) and Simon (Alex Bain) came and called an ambulance, but at the hospital, David and Shona (Julia Goulding) discovered that Max needed surgery because the cut on his leg was so bad.

Fearing that Max was going to die, David’s guilt mounted, knowing that the last conversation he had with his son was a hateful one.

If Max survives, will he finally see that he needs to change?
