Coldplay shared “Human Heart” and “Fix You” on SNL
In her second performance of the evening on the Saturday night live On stage, Coldplay delivered an a cappella version of “Human Heart”. The song features Jacob Collier present during the performance of the song, taken from the band’s 2021 album. Music of the Spheres.
Similar to the previous performance, Coldplay was surrounded by colorful lights on stage and in the hands of the Jason Max Ferdinand Singers, who again joined the band on stage. Halfway through “Human Heart,” when lead singer Chris Martin and the chorus performed without instrumentation, the beat began to pick up. Martin then began singing one of Coldplay’s signature hits, “Fix You.”
The song was originally released on her album in 2005. X&Ybut has remained a fan favorite for almost two decades. As “Fix You” progressed, Martin and the choir began to sing louder and louder, displaying the wide range of emotions the song is known for.
Whether the band is playing old hits or new hits, we’ve seen Coldplay’s music stand the test of time. However, it looks like the band will soon be gearing up for a new era. In an interview with the Canadian publication city newsMartin revealed that they are almost done with the follow-up Music of the Spheres.
“We’re just finishing an album called moon music‘ said Martin, ‘that’s the second one Music of the Spheres Volume, but that won’t come out for a bit. Maybe sometime this year we’ll start playing some songs.”
