CLEANING yellow tint from the outside of your car can seem expensive.
But it’s less expensive than you might think.
A TikTok shows how to use a $1 cleaning spray as an alternative to a $25 spray.
TikTok creator @mike_efras uses a cheap car that he flips as an example.
Purchased from US national chain Dollar Tree, the spray is called LA’s Totally Awesome Oxygen Orange Degreaser.
The video’s car cleaning expert sets the table for his tip with overlay text that reads, “The whole side of this flip car had a yellow tint that nothing we tried would lift.”
Auto Detailing Pro reports that car paint can turn yellow due to:
- Black asphalt or tar left on a vehicle’s lower sills for too long
- engine heat
- acid rain
- Industrial Consequences
- Early rust marks
- Oxidation by UV radiation
- Water workout on the side of your door or side mirror
- Dirt that is not removed immediately.
Using this $1 cleaning product from TikTok requires just a spray and wipe.
A TikTok user took to the comments section to offer constructive criticism about the video.
The user said: “It’s due to the degreaser, but you have to be careful it might take paint with it. LA’s amazing degreaser is great for thinning.”
The TikTok creator replied, “We rinsed it and pressure washed it right after, so it’s all good.”
Simply spray on and wipe off – leaving your car’s exterior fresh and ready for that close-up.
Drivers can also use LA’s Totally Awesome Oxygen Orange Degreaser on their car’s yellow and faded headlights.
Auto Detailing Pro points out that no matter how well you take care of your car, white paint will eventually turn yellow and dull due to oxidation and sunlight.
