Christian Pulisic responds to Chelsea transfer ties after meeting Todd Boehly | Soccer

Christian Pulisic has refused to confirm he will stay However, Chelsea say he is “excited” for the future after meeting new Stamford Bridge owner Todd Boehly.
American winger Pulisic has been linked with a move from the Blues after sliding down Thomas Tuchel’s pecking order.
The 23-year-old started just 13 of Chelsea’s 38 Premier League games last season and has attracted interest from Serie A club Juventus.
Since making a €58m move from Borussia Dortmund in 2019
Asked if he sees his future at the Premier League club, Pulisic, who is currently on international duty, said: ‘So far I’m obviously just focused on what I’m doing here. And I’m very happy to be here. And yes it is.
“Of course I want to get more playing time. I want to be on the field as much as possible and be as sharp as possible and be fit too.
“I think I have a lot of games left but it’s always something I’m working on and trying to be a regular at club level too to put myself in the best position to be fit when I come here with the national team . ‘
Pulisic is preparing for the USA’s friendly against Morocco on Wednesday, while Gregg Berhalter’s side continue their preparations for the World Cup in Qatar.
Last month, Pulisic’s father took to social media in a now-deleted tweet to complain about his son’s lack of playing time at Chelsea.
But Pulisic says his focus is on performing for his country and the upcoming World Cup, adding: “My biggest dream was to play at a World Cup as a kid and some of my best memories are of representing the USA at the World Cup see.
“And now that I’ll hopefully get the opportunity to attend some of the biggest games in the world, I personally couldn’t be more excited.”
Pulisic was able to meet Chelsea’s new owners last week as American investor Boehly was shown around Stamford Bridge and the club’s training complex in Cobham.
“At the end of the season we could meet with them and they were at the club a lot,” added Pulisic. “They’re really good people, so I’m looking forward to moving forward.”
Meanwhile, former Chelsea defender Frank Leboeuf has urged Pulisic to move away from Stamford Bridge this summer.
At the end of the season Leboeuf said ESPN: “Pulisic has more influence on the national team than Chelsea. I think with Chelsea’s future I don’t see him playing much.
“It’s more advice than wanting to see him go. But if he wants to play next season and still be America’s captain, he’ll have to find another team.
“If Christian Pulisic stays with Timo Werner, Kai Havertz, Mason Mount and maybe someone else, I won’t see him play.
“He’s never shown that having him on the team is absolutely crucial, so I think he has to go.”
