Chick-fil-A worker says drive-thru customer has been harassing her constantly

A Chick-fil-A worker says she was sexually harassed by an elderly man who repeatedly asked her to “marry” her while she was working at the drive-thru.

In the video posted by TikToker Mari (@mari.ninette) on Aug. 4, she says a man pulled up and called her “beautiful” and asked if she was married.

“He said, ‘Are you married? Please tell me you are not married. Please tell me you are a young girl who is not married,'” Mari says in the clip. “Young girl? Red flag.”

Mari goes on to say that she told the man she had a boyfriend, but he went on to say he wanted to “marry” her.

“He kept saying, ‘I love you.’ And then he gave me a tip or whatever,” explains Mari. “Then he left and said, ‘I love you. goodbye I’m going to marry you.” What the heck.”

The video has racked up over 33,000 views, with commenters blasting the customer for his “creepy” behavior.

“There are a lot of older guys who are weirdos or weirdos,” said one commenter.

“Old guys are the worst,” wrote another.

However, other commenters criticized Mari for taking the tip when it made her uncomfortable.

“If it really bothered you, you wouldn’t have taken the tip,” wrote one user.

“Kidnapper vibes you took the tip now he thinks he could get away with it,” said another.

In a reply, Mari wrote, “Yes no I deserve this tip after all the talk.”

What could be considered more worrying is the number of men in Mari’s video urging her to give the man a chance.

“Give him a chance he would probably take good care of you,” one wrote.

“It’s romantic, give it a chance,” agreed another.

“He was just messing around,” said one user.

“Why can’t women just take compliments,” wrote another viewer.

Recently, more and more women are documenting their experiences of sexual harassment at work on TikTok. In June, a gas station employee detailed the relentless sexual harassment she experienced while on shift. Earlier this month, another gas station employee had to defend her colleague in front of a “creepy” man who wouldn’t take no for an answer.

The Daily Dot contacted Mari via TikTok comment and Chick-fil-A via email.
