The 10-story, 320,000-square-foot, 650-foot Main Building opens amid a surge in high-end construction.
After nearly two years of construction under pandemic conditions, developers at Houston-based Patrinely Group have opened a new high-end office tower in Salt Lake City.
The 10-story building, named 650 Main near the intersection of 600 South and Main Streets, adds approximately 320,000 square feet of well-appointed office space — including a large lobby, approximately 4,600 square feet for retail, large floor plans, 10-foot ceilings and sweeping views of the Salt Lake Valley—to a fast-growing downtown business district.
The glass-clad structure was designed by HOK, a global company headquartered in St. Louis. And in a special deal involving Salt Lake City and its redevelopment agency, the Utah Transit Authority is building a new TRAX station nearby.
Officials at Patrinely Group — and its San Antonio-based project partner USAA Real Estate — have said they envision another office building of a similar size on the adjacent lot at 645 W. Temple, though the construction schedule is unclear.
