To look good! Mila Kunis stunned on the red carpet at the The happiest girl in the world Premieres in New York on Thursday, September 29.

Kunis, 39, exuded timeless glamor in a black Carolina Herrera blazer dress. The figure-flattering number had a plunging neckline and was finished with protruding black tulle fabric at the back, giving the number a dramatic twist. The Ukrainian native paired the dress with over-the-knee boots and dangling earrings.

For their glamour, the Bad mothers star opted for dramatic lashes, soft blush and a soft pink lip. She had styled her brunette tresses in loose, effortless curls.

The happiest girl in the worldwhich is based on the novel of the same name Jessica Knollfollows New York-based writer Ani FaNelli (Kunis) as she prepares to find a new job and get married when a true crime documentary forces her to confront a disturbing incident that happened while she was in high school .

Knoll, who served as the film’s screenwriter, was open about casting Ani and that she didn’t initially envision the character as a brunette.

“In my eyes, she is [that girl] who starts out as a bottled blonde and ends up paying $1,000 for highlights,” Knoll said in an article published Sept. 6 on Netflix’s website. However, she added that everything changed when she saw Kunis.

“I never thought [Kunis] alone, but seeing her on set and seeing her recite some of those more controversial lines, [I realized] How easily it could have gone wrong if we had someone else in that role,” said the author. “I don’t think anyone could have done it but Mila.”

Kunis also helped give the film a fresh ending — different from the story in the book.

“The ending is polarizing, which I think makes this movie so interesting,” he said Black Swan Actress teased in an interview with Weekly entertainment published Thursday. “It’s not a cookie cutter, and not everyone experiences this film the same way. So many people had such different experiences while watching the same content, including the ending. A lot of people didn’t like it, but I fought so hard to keep it in. I’m really glad we won this fight because it’s so strong.”
