Chatham police warn of counterfeit money circulation – Boston News, Weather, Sports

CHATHAM, MASS. (WHDH) – Chatham Police are warning local businesses to be vigilant after finding a counterfeit $100 bill.

According to the department’s Facebook page, the fake bill was used at a local shop over the weekend. The fake bill looked convincing but was a movie prop with several notes of it printed on it.

Police are advising traders to be on the lookout for these and other bills that may appear counterfeit.

Anyone who finds counterfeit bills or knows who issued the bills found is asked to contact police at 508-945-1213.
