Charges dismissed against APD sabotage suspect


The state has denied the felony charge without prejudice, based on current estimates received from the City of Albuquerque. According to the dismissal, there was insufficient evidence that the total damages were no more than $1,000.

Under New Mexico law, property damage of more than $1,000 qualifies as a fourth degree felony. Any damage less than $1,000 is considered a light fee.

Otte was also arrested and charged vandalize the downtown police station December 15. She was booked into MDC on charges of criminal damage but was released a few days later. The December 15 case is still pending.
