Carnival Row season 2 finale

Carnival Row season 2 finale was published on Friday March 17, 2023. It is titled “Carnival Row”. It’s the second season’s shocking finale. The New Dawn plans the Elites and The Burge. Agreus and Imogen must choose a side. Philo exposes the Sparas. Here’s what you missed!

previously on Carnival Row Season 2 Episode 9, Justice later by peace or now by blood? Philo and Vignette are attracted to opposing sides. Tourmaline embraces the dark forces she has resisted. Imogen and Agreus discover their role in the upcoming battle.

At Carnival Row Season 2 Episode 10 Finale, Vignette’s attack led soldiers to the gates, thirsting for revenge for their slain comrades. Tourmaline felt safer without Darius and told him to leave.

A wolf in sheep’s clothing

While in Parliament, Ambassador Anrep and his mysterious noble Mikulas Vir check the security of the building.

Agreus was isolated for his betrayal of The New Dawn and hanged by his wrist. Meanwhile, Leonora planned the plan of attack against the humans. They planned to lure her to Carnival Row and open fire on her. Vignette offered to personally lure her into Leonora’s trap. Kaine also volunteered to act as bait. Agreus later got free and killed a few guards…

Constable Thatch ambushed Philo and his men hung him in the street! Just as he passed and saw a peaceful vision of Vignette, soldiers had chased the men away and struck Philo down.

Kastor accompanied Imogen to Parliament to deliver the speech. However, she noticed something about the vir. So she faked a breakdown and whispered a warning to Runyan Millworthy. He then confronted Vir about working with The New Dawn. Millworthy warned Mikulas Vir that this was treason, but he was committed to his mission…

The Sparas is revealed!

Constable Thatch convinced Sergeant Dombey to open the Carnival Row gates and his men marched in! They killed Faelfolk, cutting off wings and crushing horns until they discovered Vignette and Kaine. The couple led her to the trap. However, Vignette gave up her hiding place and a man shot Kaine, but she fled.

Philo stormed Parliament to warn them that the Sparas were already inside. Philo entered and told Millworthy so the Sparas was Mikulas Vir!

Vir sensed what Philo was up to and when Ambassador Anrep entered the room, he impaled him and transformed into the Sparas! Philo ran to shut the doors of the chambers of Parliament to save the nobles. Philo struggled with the monster and suddenly it was being pulled off him. Tourmaline managed to pull the flying monster away from afar with her spell. It jumped out the window and few went to Carinal Row in search of tourmaline…

Sparas approached Tourmaline, but Darius attacked him while he was in werewolf form. (The vision she saw in the premiere.) Darius was wounded and Sparas tried to attack Tourmaline, but she threw him away. Vignette came to her aid but was attacked and pushed aside. Suddenly Philo came to fight. Just as Sparas was trying to eat him (like Jonah Breakspear and Constable Berwick), Philo shot the monster in the head… killed it! Darius eventually died from his injuries.

Vignette and Philo confessed their love to each other but knew they could never be together…

Philo takes in the mayhem in the Season 2 finale of Carnival Row

Philo dragged the body of Sparas to the center of Carnival Row and declared the residents safe. Some of the New Dawn fighters left the resistance. Leonora took the opportunity to leave, but Agreus confronted her at gunpoint. Instead of shooting her, he called for her arrest. Leonora refused to be arrested, so she cut her own throat!

Leonora spared Philo’s life. unfortunately, Constable Thatch shot Philo in the back! So, Sergeant Dombey shot Thatch!

Hail to the new chancellor

Many moons later, on the streets of Carnival Row, Runyan Millworthy is forced to tell street tales of Rycroft Philostrate’s legacy to an audience of faefolk youth. A hunched man walking with a cane entered Parliament and received a standing ovation. It’s Philo…he lived!

Philo witnesses his struggles as half fae and half human. He confronted her that the fae should be allowed to represent themselves. Explaining that the next chancellor should have wings or horns. He refused to be their chancellor and spat the honor back in their faces…

Imogen revealed the repaired Horn of Agreus. They left their home for a court ceremony for the future of The Burge.

In the meantime, Vignette and T fell on Carnival Row and got married!

In the end we learned that Runyan Millworthy was Philo’s father. Millworthy asked about his next move since denouncing the politics. Philo said, “I suppose we have to find out…”
