Car linked to Alabama fugitive, jail worker found

FRANKLIN, Tennessee. – Authorities in Tennessee say they found an abandoned vehicle used by a man wanted in Alabama for murder and the prison officer who disappeared with him.

The Williamson County Sheriff said Monday via Twitter that a vehicle used by Casey White, an escaped Alabama inmate, and former correctional officer Vicky White was found in Bethesda.

“There is NO sign that the two are still in our area. The SUV was reported abandoned a week ago. It was identified last night,” the sheriff said.

A nationwide manhunt is underway for Casey White, who was awaiting trial in a murder case, and Vicky White, the assistant correctional director at the Lauderdale County, Alabama, jail

US Attorney General Merrick Garland said Thursday that the two, who are unrelated, “are considered extremely dangerous,” and the US Marshals Service has taken charge of the search.
