Can you buy Halle Bailey’s Little Mermaid Ariel doll?

Considering all the needless controversy that followed the announcement of Halle Bailey’s title role The little mermaid, sane content was needed. Luckily, that didn’t come until today, March 6, as the singer and actress shared some exciting news.

She took to Twitter to reveal that she has her own Ariel doll. “OMG 🥹💗 the little girl in me is pinching herself right now,” she wrote. “I have my own Ariel the little mermaid!!! I can’t believe how much she captures my version of this iconic character 🥹💕 brb, I’m going to cry now…” In the video, she has a beaming smile as she holds the doll up.

“This is the new thing Little Mermaid doll,” she says. “I literally choke because this means so much to me. Having someone who looks like me – that’s my favorite Disney character – is very surreal.”

Fans speculate that Beyonce was there when she took the video because an off-camera voice said, “I want one!” Additionally, her cousin Angie Beyince commented, “I’m in [bee emoji]. I want 1!”

There was no mention of whether or not the doll would be available for purchase, but we shouldn’t be surprised if it is for sale. In the meantime, The little mermaid hits theaters on May 26th.
