ST. LOUIS – On Wednesday afternoon, people were queuing outside Gate 6 at Busch Stadium to get inside. They went under the stadium instead of in the stands to host a Cardinals franchisee hiring event.
“Today we have one of our job fairs where we’re looking for a number of different positions for the rest of the season,” said Mackenzie Rosener, food and beverage director at Delaware North Sportservice.
From concessions to food and beverage to retail, Delaware North expects to hire 90 to 100 people from these hiring events.
“We’re starting to have them at least twice a month. So today we have one on June 8th and another one on June 18th,” Rosener said. “We are looking for chefs, supervisors, retail and mobile operations – different positions. So come down.”
After meeting with managers, the prospective part-timers will have to pass background checks and could start work this weekend, as did Ryan Smith, who wants to work as a stand manager.
“I have two cousins who were range attendants,” Smith said. “I just graduated from college and am looking for a summer job. They told me it was a great way to make some money over the summer.”
