A Milford Haven contractor who won the lottery big celebrated his win by giving all his workmates a round of bacon rolls.

Paul Bevans, 50, hit all five main numbers in the National Lottery’s Set For Life draw on March 27 and was rewarded with £10,000 every month for a year.

After hitting the jackpot, Paul immediately partied in style, gathering his colleagues and treating them all to bacon butties.

“I couldn’t believe what I was seeing,” Paul said. “In fact, I was so unsure that I searched the ticket about five times – this time with my eyes wide open – and found the same winning message each time.”

While he’s forgiven for taking the day off, Paul pocketed his National Lottery winning ticket, jumped in his van, and headed off to clean out a house he’d been working on.

He said: “When I got there I showed it to my boss and the other guys and then went to the local shop so it could be properly checked at the terminal before I called the National Lottery and of course I called the guys a bacon.” -, sausage and egg rolls to celebrate!

“As soon as I made the call to confirm victory, I got back to work and continued with the house clearance with everyone else.”

Though he has no plans to stop working, Paul begins to think about what the future might hold and while it’s still early days, a few ideas are on his wish list.

“Before I get the RV and when I’m free I might book a little trip to Jamaica.”
