Builder Celebrates Lottery Win By Buying Bacon Balls To Colleague | British News

A Milford Haven contractor who won the lottery big celebrated his win by giving all his workmates a round of bacon rolls.
Paul Bevans, 50, hit all five main numbers in the National Lottery’s Set For Life draw on March 27 and was rewarded with £10,000 every month for a year.
After hitting the jackpot, Paul immediately partied in style, gathering his colleagues and treating them all to bacon butties.
“I couldn’t believe what I was seeing,” Paul said. “In fact, I was so unsure that I searched the ticket about five times – this time with my eyes wide open – and found the same winning message each time.”
While he’s forgiven for taking the day off, Paul pocketed his National Lottery winning ticket, jumped in his van, and headed off to clean out a house he’d been working on.
He said: “When I got there I showed it to my boss and the other guys and then went to the local shop so it could be properly checked at the terminal before I called the National Lottery and of course I called the guys a bacon.” -, sausage and egg rolls to celebrate!
“As soon as I made the call to confirm victory, I got back to work and continued with the house clearance with everyone else.”
Though he has no plans to stop working, Paul begins to think about what the future might hold and while it’s still early days, a few ideas are on his wish list.
He said: “It’s not entirely clear to me to be honest, the idea of being paid £10,000 every month for the next year takes some getting used to.”
“I’ve worked my whole life but never had that much money and never dreamed I would, but I have a few ideas up my sleeve.”
“A few years ago I started saving for a campervan so I could one day explore more of Wales and Britain on the open road.
“Over the years the pot has been growing slowly but I was far from my goal, now I was able to hit it in just a month and double it in two months!”
“I’m not going to buy anything too soon, I’ve waited so long so I’ll wait until the end of the summer so there will be some good deals, but to know I’ll do that by the end of the year.” Finally I have my camper, it’s just awesome.
“Before I get the RV and when I’m free I might book a little trip to Jamaica.”
“Years ago my mom went there and she said it was an island paradise so I’m craving a little bit of that!”
“And the only thing else on my wish list is a trip to Anfield to see Liverpool play at home. I’m a lifelong fan and have never seen them play except on TV.”
Paul bought his National Lottery Set For Life winning ticket for the 27th March 2023 drawing from the Nisa store on Marble Hall Road in Milford Haven. The winning numbers that day were 6, 16, 20, 44, 47 and the Life Ball 9.
