LAUDERDALE LAKES, FL. – Three people were injured in a hit-and-run accident that occurred in Broward County late Saturday night.
Two of those injured were deputies from the Broward Sheriff’s Office, and the driver responsible is still at large.
The three-vehicle accident happened around 10 p.m. Saturday in Lauderdale Lakes.
According to the BSO, a red GMC pickup truck ran a red light, hit a car marked BSO with two deputies in it, and also hit another car.
When the responding deputies got to Northwest 31st Avenue and 26th Street, the pickup driver was nowhere to be found.
The deputies and one other person were taken to hospital while evidence was collected at the crash site.
BSO said Sunday afternoon that both MPs, as well as the civilian driver, had been discharged from hospital and were recovering from their injuries.
