Brian Hoyer travels to Green Bay as QB – Boston News, Weather, Sports

GREEN BAY, Wisc. (WHDH) – With Patriots quarterback Mac Jones out of Sunday’s game against Green Bay with a high ankle sprain, Brian Hoyer will be providing the signals.

Hoyer will start his 39th career NFL game at Lambeau Field but has lost his last 11 starts as an NFL quarterback. He also hasn’t won a game to the day for almost six years. As he nears his 37th birthday, he’s still relishing any chance he gets as an NFL quarterback.

“At this point you don’t really know how many chances like this you’re going to get, you know?” he said. “Of course that’s part of the job, you’re always ready to play. And so for me it’s an opportunity to go out and have fun and do something.”

He added that he loves playing with his hardworking teammates.

Also, one of the Pats’ best receivers, Jakobi Meyers, will not play tomorrow through injury, a factor that could also hurt Hoyer in his game against the Packers on Sunday.
