A teenager is in critical condition after being stabbed to death at a carnival in front of children.

The 15-year-old was found with serious injuries at Meadowcroft Fields, Swindon, following reports of a “disorder involving a group of teenagers” on Thursday evening.

Managers at the nearby Stratton Family Fun Park shut down the rides when parents noticed the commotion, and some ran to the field to check their children were safe.

Police officers were seen resuscitating the boy before paramedics arrived.

He was flown to Southmead Hospital in Bristol where he remained in serious condition as of Thursday morning.

Wiltshire Police said: “Extensive area searches are currently underway and there is an increased police presence in the area while the investigation is carried out.”

“Anyone who witnessed the incident should call 101 and provide log number 344 of June 8.”
