BOSTON (WHDH) — The Boston Police Department is asking for the public’s help in search of 12-year-old Trenton Brittenumwho was last seen on Friday morning.
In a press release, the department said Brittenum was last sighted around 10am on August 5 and may now be in the South Bay Mall area or a bus stop.
The child is described as 5ft 5in and may be wearing a ‘white shirt/tank top’, gray sweatpants and white soccer cleats.
Police said Brittenum reportedly never returned home after a basketball test on Friday, which authorities believe may have taken place at Dorchester’s YMCA.
Brittenum was reported missing almost a week ago before she was found in Cambridge with her father, Thomas Brittenum, 51.
Officials said there is a possibility Brittenum could be reunited with the father, who may have traveled to the Boston area from Tennessee, and that the 12-year-old could travel to Memphis.
Police are asking that anyone with information on Brittenum’s whereabouts call 911 or contact the Boston Police District B-2 Detectives at 617-343-4275.
