BOSTON (WHDH) — Twelve people were arrested at two Boston-area beaches Saturday night, state police said.
Seven arrests were made in Revere Beach while five were made in Carson Beach, South Boston.
Mass State Police said in a Twitter post that the crowd was “unruly” and that the Carson Beach crowd numbered in the thousands.
Police had increased their presence in Revere Beach after an altercation last weekend that left one person hospitalized. The police had asked visitors to the beach to adhere to the beach’s closing time at dusk.
None of the individuals’ names have been released.
