Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his wife Carrie Johnson, with their daughter Romy, have Checkers video calls with Doctor Laura Mount, Director of Central and West Warrington, who is leading a vaccination team, followed by Rickmansworth's Tom Jones, who is attending the RVS Rickmansworth Club luncheon and nursing his wife, who has dementia.

Boris and Carrie Johnson christened their second child at Westminster Cathedral.

Five-month-old Romy, short for Rosemary, was christened in a private ceremony at Britain’s largest Catholic church, where her parents were married last year.

The service took place over the weekend of her parents’ first wedding anniversary.

She also followed in the footsteps of her now two-year-old brother Wilfred, who was baptized in the cathedral in September 2020.

Mr Johnson and his wife, who have both been implicated in the Partygate scandal, were joined at the ceremony by the wider Johnson clan.

The prime minister keeps his private life a secret, does not allow his son’s face to be photographed and generally refuses to be involved in family matters.

He recently publicly confirmed how many children he fathered after years of uncertainty over the matter.

The couple announced Romy’s birth on December 9 at a London hospital.

Carrie said in an Instagram post that Wilf “stroked Romy’s hair, gave big kisses and played with his Matchbox cars right next to her crib just in case she felt like joining in too.”

She thanked the maternity staff at University College London Hospital for finding them, adding: “We are so grateful.”
