Billy Joel and Stevie Nicks played two duets to open the tour

Billy Joel and Stevie Nicks kicked off their highly anticipated co-headlining tour at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on Friday, March 10th. They had some surprises in store for fans when Joel and Nicks both stopped by for each other’s sets.

During Nick’s run, Joel joined her to cover Tom Petty’s “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around.” As they traded the turns for the sets, Nicks helped perform Joel’s “And So It Goes.”

Accordingly Rolling Stone, Nicks had some other prominent inclusions during their set. First, she performed her 2001 song “Fall From Grace” for the first time in over a decade. She tackled Fleetwood Mac’s “Sara” in the first solo performance since 2008. During their concert, Nicks also paid tribute to the late Christine McVie during the encore of “Landslide.”

“I have to imagine that she is still here. That’s all I can do,” she said.

For fans hoping to catch one of Joel and Nicks’ shows together, their Two Icons One Night Tour will take them to Arlington, Nashville, Philly, Columbus, Kansas City, Foxborough, Baltimore and Minneapolis. The concert dates are distributed from April to November.
