The BCCI on Sunday determined to extend the internet hosting payment of the six state associations staging the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy from Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs 3.5 lakh moreover climbing the match payment of gamers from Rs 50,000 to Rs 75,000. The groups have been divided into six teams — 5 Elite and one Plate and the league stage matches can be performed at Mumbai, Vadodara, Indore, Kolkata, Chennai and Bengaluru with the knockouts scheduled in Ahmedabad.
“Additional, the Participation Charge payable to all of the taking part groups can also be hereby elevated from INR 50,000 to INR 75,000. All these measures are being applied so as to help the Staging Associations and taking part groups for the conduct of the home cricket amidst these unprecedented Covid occasions,” Shah added.
