Hall, who was apparently injured in the match against USC, will only be used in an emergency
Shreveport, La. • The BYU team will have to win the last game of the season without the starting midfielder.
Baylor Romney will start in place of Jaren Hall for Saturday’s Independence Bowl game against the University of Alabama at Birmingham, BYUtv reported ahead of the game.
Hall reportedly suffered an injury during the team’s win over USC. After his post-match press conference in Los Angeles, he walked off the podium in a limp.
Hall was seen getting off the team bus before Saturday’s game in a walking boot, according to multiple reports.
But Hall came out in his uniform, warming up with the other midfielders. BYUtv reports that the Hall will only be used in an emergency.
Romney has played 4 games in 2021. He’s shot 57 yards in 41 finishes and has 6 touchdown passes.
