Bartender says she accidentally exposed customer’s affair

A user on TikTok has gone viral after claiming she accidentally revealed one of her clients was having an affair.

In a video with over 2.3 million views, TikToker and bartender Cayley (@imacayk) tells all the details, beginning with her introduction to the man in question and ending with his wife’s bitter discovery of the affair.

Over the course of two videos, Cayley says that while working as a bartender, she met a few people who came at the same time and day every week. Over time, she learned the couple’s typical drink orders and routine of entering the bar.

As Cayley continued to serve the couple, a man and a woman, she became suspicious that they were involved in an affair. According to Cayley, the duo’s body language was questionable; However, they both referred to each other as “friends” and wore wedding rings.

Despite this, she continued to serve the couple. Cayley later noted in a separate video that she doesn’t get involved in client relationships unless she knows them well and personally. As she explains, there are a variety of relationship styles, and she can’t be sure of the specifics of a person’s relationship; Therefore, it is not advisable to interfere in a stranger’s relationship unless there is absolute certainty.

One day, after the man left, Cayley struck up a conversation with the couple’s wife. The woman claimed she was divorcing her husband and her friend – the one she had been to the bar with – was helping her sort out her finances.

She also revealed that she has known the man since childhood and actually wanted to be with him, which would require him to leave his wife. They had also apparently fallen out after the man made a positive comment about Cayley’s performance, which led to him leaving the bar early.

In the second part of this two-video series, Cayley says she didn’t see either of them for “a while” after that supposed fight.

Then one night, Cayley was bartendering without glasses when the man from earlier walked in with what Cayley thought was the same woman due to poor night vision.

“I’m like, ‘Hey! It’s so nice to see you! I haven’t seen you all in a while!’” she recalls. “They kind of don’t respond to me because he’s acting like he doesn’t know me.”

She then offered to make the couple’s standard drinks, listing both drinks by name. Unbeknownst to her, she had just revealed the man’s secret – as evidenced by the fact that the woman angrily walked away from her husband after hearing the order.

“My co-bartender comes up to me and says to me… ‘You know that’s not the lady he usually comes with, right?'” Cayley recalls. “I’m like, ‘Oh shit! So this is his wife!’”

“He said, ‘Yeah, that’s actually his wife, and you just screwed it up for him,'” she continues.

In the comments, many users supported Cayley, saying the affair revelation wasn’t really her fault.

“He had no reason to be mad,” wrote one user. “He did that to himself.”

“Listen, why is this your responsibility? He’s messy when he’s having affairs and putting them in the same place,” added another.

“Honestly he deserves everything bad that comes his way after this affair,” offered a third. “You didn’t do anything wrong in what you told him (although you didn’t intend to).”
