Robert Lewandowski is aiming for an exit Bayern Munich this summer after being linked with Barcelona and Chelsea.
The Pole has just one year left on his contract and reportedly wants a dream move to the Nou Camp with the Spanish giants looking for a way back to the top.
The 33-year-old has also been linked with a move to the Premier League as the Blues seek a new striker to bolster their attacking options after an uninspiring end to the season.
However, his current club Bayern are reluctant to let him go and CEO Oliver Khan has told the forward to remember what he achieved at the Allianz Arena and that “appreciation is a two-way street”.
This week Lewandowski reiterated his desire to move away from Bayern despite the Bundesliga giants playing hardball.
“Something died in me, I want to leave FC Bayern to have more emotions in my life.”
If Lewandowski leaves FC Bayern, he will be in great demand as one of the best strikers in Europe.
In 372 games for the German club, he has scored 344 goals, including 50 last season.
In the meantime, he has won eight Bundesliga titles, three German cups and the Champions League in eight years.
The Nou Camp is believed to be his preferred destination this summer but the Spanish giants are struggling financially and it’s unknown if they could meet Bayern’s demands.
Chelsea, on the other hand, are set to receive a transfer war chest from new owner Todd Boehly and could match Lewandowski’s asking price, although they would have to sack Romelu Lukaku first.
Lukaku wants to return to Inter Milan but the terms of his transfer will take time due to his £325,000-week wage.
