On Friday the Bank of Israel released a draft anti-money laundering and anti-terrorist financing (AML/CFT) risk management regulation for the banks facilitating crypto-to-fiat transactions.
The move hints at the Israeli government’s preparations to legalize and regulate the relationship between banks and virtual currency service providers (VASPs). As justification for the new guideline, the document cites the increased preoccupation of customers with digital assets:
