Aunt Anne’s customer reportedly bares pretzel-sized mugs

Auntie Anne’s is a chain restaurant known for its pretzels. While the store has a variety of pretzels and sides, one of its most popular items is its pretzel nuggets: small bites of buttered pretzels served in a mug.

While the pretzel nuggets come in a variety of sizes, a user on TikTok went viral after claiming those sizes may not be as different as they initially appear.

In a video with over 2.8 million views, TikTok user Margaret (@margaretgarvey) shows a small and a large mug from Aunt Anne. The little cup is overflowing with pretzel nuggets.

Then she pours the small cup of pretzel nuggets into the large cup, filling it almost to the brim.

“Y’all are the same!!!” she wrote in the caption overlaying the video. In the caption, she added, “Please buy the small one and save your $2.”

In the comments, many users spoke about the veracity of Margaret’s claim.

“I work there and yes it’s like a tiny difference,” claimed one user.

“I literally ordered a big one and they threw a small one into a big one right in front of me,” added another. “NEVER AGAIN.”

“As a former employee… so true,” agreed a third.

“As someone who worked at Aunt Ann’s, it’s literally maybe an extra bite or two in large,” echoed another TikToker.

Others claimed that her local aunt had done away with Anne’s cup sizes entirely.

“When did they start selling small and large mugs because the ones I worked at literally only sold the small mug,” claimed one commenter.

“Mine is only one size,” stated a second.

“We’re all betrayed by greatness,” said another TikToker.

Some users offered a solution.

“If they tell you they only have large batches, just ask them to pour the big one into a small one and they’ll get really quiet,” claimed one TikToker.

The Daily Dot has contacted Aunt Anne via email and Margaret via Instagram.
