With millions of us still reeling from the cost of living crisis, many Brits are continuing to assess what financial help is available.

Although inflation has recently returned to single digits, falling back to 8.7% in April from 10.1% in March, food prices remain stubbornly high – while energy and water bills continue to soar.

The rising cost of living has prompted many to try to save wherever they can – while others will look at what government support is available to ease the strain.

Against this background, what living expenses support will there be in June 2023?

What other payments will be made this year?

Over eight million households who were eligible for living expenses payments – including people on Universal Credit, tax credits and pension credits – will receive the next installment before the end of the year.

The £300 payment will be automatically paid to beneficiaries in the autumn, but the exact date is yet to be determined.

The DWP has two more living expenses payments due later in the year to help those in need.

One of these payments is intended to support people with intellectual or physical disabilities and is due in the summer of 2023.

Another is designed for pensioners and will be due from November 2023 along with the winter fuel payment.

You can get a winter fuel payment for winter 2023-2024 if you were born before September 25, 1957 – but how much you get depends on your age and circumstances.
