Apple WWDC – Five sneaky announcements you may have missed, including a new way to unlock your iPhone

APPLE has gone all out with big new features for the iPhone.
We’ve got a look at a brand new customizable lock screen and even much-coveted upgrades for iMessage.

But alongside all the headlines, there have been many quiet announcements.
They may be small, but they’ll make a big difference in how you use your iPhone when iOS 16 lands in the fall.
See WiFi passwords
Apple finally adds the ability to view Wi-Fi passwords saved on your iPhone.
The tech giant has long resisted such a feature, but now if you’re having trouble sharing passwords with friends and family, you can just go in and read it out.
Instead of trying to find it on the bottom of your internet router…
Lock hidden photos
No one will ever be able to snoop around in your hidden photo folder again.
While you were able to hide embarrassing or naughty images from your main photo stream, virtually everyone knew where to find the hidden folder, making it all a bit pointless.
Well, it’s password protected by default.
You can also use Face ID or Touch ID to make it even easier.
Better keyboard
The iPhone keyboard gets a much-needed improvement in the form of haptic feedback.
This means whenever you touch a letter you will get a gentle vibration.
It might not sound like much, but it really helps you know when you’ve hit a letter and makes typing more seamless.
Face recognition in landscape mode
Many found it strange that Face ID only ever worked if you held it in portrait mode.
Well, now that you have your iPhone in landscape mode, Face ID will finally work.
That solves the annoyance of tipping back and forth when using an app horizontally.
Improved parental controls
Managing children’s devices just got a lot easier too.
Instead of digging into settings, you can now get information about iMessage.
So if your daughter or son requests an extra 15 minutes for a bedtime game, everything is there to see where you can choose to give them more time — or tell them no.
