Anthony Davis interrupts LeBron and apologizes for ‘brain fart’

The Los Angeles Lakers are moving into the NBA playoffs after clinching a 108-102 overtime win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday night. The team generally came awfully close to victory, but with 0.1 seconds remaining, Anthony Davis fouled Mike Conley while scoring a three-pointer. Conley misses the three badly but contact sent him to the charity strip and he hit all three of his attempts from the line to tie things and force extra time.
Things were going pretty bad for Minnesota when they got there – Los Angeles outplayed them 10-4 in OT – and as a result they will host either the Oklahoma City Thunder or the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday with the 8-seed grabs. The Lakers, meanwhile, were understandably in very good spirits after the game, so much so that when Davis interrupted LeBron James’ postgame interview on TNT, everyone could only laugh.
LeBron: “It’s unfortunate that AD brain farted and screwed up his game winner.”
AD: “I messed up his game winner, I apologize. I certainly apologize.” 🤣🤣 pic.twitter.com/khlMaLr5Rx

James gave his All-Star running mate a very good-natured rip here, making a point of pointing at him and raising his voice a bit. Davis, to his credit, came running and was a good sport about the whole thing, which I think is easier when you know you don’t have a win-or-go-home game a little later in the week.
