Annie Malone Family Fest, Shop Out Hunger helping the St. Louis area

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — Two events are helping different causes in the St. Louis area on Saturday.

The Annie Malone Family Fest made sure the kids had everything they needed as many districts start school in the coming weeks.

The event had everything from school supplies, physical exam locations and stations to get vaccinations. The event took place on campus in the 5300 block of Page Boulevard and ran from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.

The Annie Malone Children and Family Center currently offers summer schools, crisis care and emergency placement programs for needy children and families.

Also on Saturday, local non-profit organization Operation foraging held its annual Shop Out Hunger Day at Schnucks, Dierbergs and Strobb markets across the region.

Shoppers can still donate non-perishable items that stock the shelves of Operation Distribution Center and its 200 partner grocery agencies. Schnucks is also accepting donations in stores until August 15. Annie Malone Family Fest, Shop Out Hunger helping the St. Louis area
