Anne Hathaway responds to rumors of a ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ sequel.

Grab your Jimmy Choos! Anne Hathaway fans had speculated about potential The devil Wears Prada Continued after she was seen sitting next to her Anna Wintour during New York Fashion Week.

“There will be no sequel,” the Oscar winner said in an interview with entertainment tonight, which was released on Wednesday October 12th. “That will not happen. It’s just that we can’t do it. Speculation that a sequel film might be on the horizon came after that bride wars Star, 39, and Fashion Editor, 76, were photographed side by side Serena Williams at Michael Kors’ Spring/Summer 2023 show in New York City last month. Wintour wore a black and white floral dress with matching shades, while Hathaway wore a seriously familiar ensemble of her own.

While Les Miserables Star wasn’t wearing the infamous Chanel boots from the fashion strip, she rocked a brown jacket with a turtleneck and high ponytail — a look almost identical to hers The devil Wears Prada Character wore out in the last few minutes of the film.

A third Twitter user, meanwhile, noticed how the Oscar winner fixed her bangs in an eerily similar way to her characters. “Anne Hathaway makes the same gesture as her character Andy Sachs,” they said alongside a clip of Hathway leaving the show, cut alongside a clip from the drama-comedy.

While she admitted there was a certain resemblance, Hathway said ET on Wednesday that she just isn’t smart enough to think about channeling her character from the film.

“I wish I was that smart,” Hathaway told the outlet. “I wish I had this, I don’t know, Machiavellian tendency and could move all the chess pieces. The truth is that the outfit fit and this was the best hairstyle for it. And it turns out that people really like it The devil Wears Prada. It was a fun coincidence. On the way out, I was like, ‘Oh, I wonder if anyone will notice?’”

The fact that people noticed, Hathway shared, is a “beautiful kind of [thing].”
